What is the tuition for Learning Labs?

The tuition for enrolling in a Sandbox is $6,000.

We offer a small number of need-based financial aid to insure that all voices are represented in our design teams - from every walk of life.

What is the process to apply?

Students first submit an online interest form through the website. Shortlisted candidates are invited to interview within 3-5 days of submitting their application. Final admission decisions are rolled out within 7 days of the interview (except for waitlisted applicants).

How long do the learning labs last?

We offer the labs in three semesters, each of 8 t0 16 weeks.

How are virtual labs conducted? What devices or connections are required?

All online sessions are conducted on Zoom. The only requirements are the Internet and a laptop (with a front-facing camera and a microphone). If additional software is needed, your TA will help you install it.

How much time do I need to commit?

Being part of a learning lab is like an internship. You should expect to be engaged with your topic for 8-10 hours a week with synchronous and asynchronous learning modules and expected time for reflection.

Can I create a project for a Sandbox?
